Privacy Policy

Warpt ("the app", "we", "our") is a word puzzle game for iOS developed by Logan Jahnke. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your rights as a user. We take privacy seriously and have designed Warpt to collect as little data as possible.

Information We Collect

Warpt stores all game progress — including completed levels, daily puzzle history, streaks, word usage statistics, and in-app purchase status — locally on your device using Apple's standard UserDefaults storage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server we operate.

Game Center

Warpt integrates with Apple Game Center for leaderboards. If you are signed in to Game Center, your scores may be submitted to Apple's leaderboard service. This is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. You can disable Game Center at any time in your device's Settings.

In-App Purchases

Warpt offers a one-time purchase ("Warpt Pro") processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information. Purchase verification is handled by Apple's StoreKit framework and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Word Definitions

When the "Show Word Definitions" setting is enabled, the app makes requests to a third-party dictionary API (dictionaryapi.dev) to fetch definitions for the current word. These requests include only the word itself — no personal information, device identifiers, or account data is sent.

Analytics and Advertising

Warpt does not contain any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or tracking frameworks. We do not collect behavioral analytics, crash reports, or usage telemetry beyond what Apple provides to all developers through App Store Connect (aggregate, anonymized metrics only).

Children's Privacy

Warpt is appropriate for users of all ages. Because we do not collect personal information of any kind, no special handling is required under COPPA or similar children's privacy regulations.

Data Retention and Deletion

All app data is stored locally on your device. You can delete all stored game data at any time from within the app:

• Open the app and tap the settings icon
• Scroll to the Data section and tap "Reset All Progress"

Uninstalling the app will also remove all locally stored data.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
